Before we measured, sources said: Drop E, with no pitch given (community).
Produced by Nick Raskulinecz, with Fred Sablan on bass. Carpenter's health problems meant Chino Moreno wrote and played more of the guitar parts (Guitar World). Tabs put Carpenter's eight-string in Drop E and Chino's guitar mostly in Drop C or Drop D; the closer, Departing the Body, is tabbed in Drop D for both guitars, and TuneLit's audio check agrees with its low D. The European CD sits about 4 ¢ flat (A ≈ 438.9), the only Deftones album measurably below concert pitch; Ecdysis reads about 5 ¢ sharp. The titles are printed in lower case on the album.
