Taped on 18 November 1993 at Sony Music Studios in New York and released in 1994, with Pat Smear on second guitar and Lori Goldston on cello. Kurt played a 1959 Martin D-18E through his amp and pedals. Almost everything is in E♭ Standard, so Come as You Are sounds a half step higher than on Nevermind, while About a Girl, Polly and On a Plain sound a half step lower than their studio versions. On a Plain and All Apologies use Drop C♯; for Something in the Way the tabs split between Drop C♯ and Drop C. TuneLit has not measured this album.

Disputed: if Drop C♯ sounds a half step high against the record, try Drop C.
The tabs split: the more-viewed Unplugged tab is in Drop C, a less-viewed one in Drop C♯. TuneLit lists Drop C♯, which needs only the low string dropped from the E♭ Standard the rest of the show uses; nothing confirms it.
