Before we measured, sources said: F♯ Standard, with no pitch given (community).
Premier Guitar described Gore as built on low-tuned eight-strings, and the tabs put Carpenter back in F♯ Standard, with the title track in Drop E. Chino Moreno plays guitar on nearly every song, tabbed in Drop C or lower, and Sergio Vega played a six-string Bass VI on much of the record. Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains plays the solo on Phantom Bride. The Japanese CD sits at concert pitch (about 1 ¢ sharp).
