Before we measured, sources said: D Standard at A 425, about 60 cents flat (official).
Mostly D Standard. It Makes Them Disappear and I'll Cast a Shadow are tabbed in Drop C, and You've Got to Belong to It in E. Hellbound and Goddamn Electric are tabbed in C♯, but both are listed in D: Goddamn Electric measures closer to D, and TuneLit's semitone check from the audio hears D as Hellbound's lowest open string. TuneLit measured the album about 38 ¢ flat (A ≈ 431); Uplift sits higher (A ≈ 434) and Yesterday Don't Mean Shit lower (A ≈ 428).

-
1. Hellbound
D Standard A 431Measured
Notes
Tabbed in C♯, listed in D like the rest of the album.
Songsterr's main tab is in C♯ Standard; a little-viewed tab of a Hellbound / A New Level medley uses D Standard. On its own the song measures about 54 ¢ below D, with low confidence, so its button keeps the album's A 431. An A 440 tuner reads that pitch as C♯ +46: the same rounding that once put Floods in C♯.
TuneLit's semitone check from the audio hears D as the lowest open string: D is the song's most common low note, and the C♯ under it never sounds. A medley tab and the rest of the album say D, so the song is listed in D. If it sounds a half step high, try C♯ Standard at A 431.

2. Goddamn Electric
D Standard A 431Measured
Notes
The main tab (with Kerry King's guest solo) is in C♯, but the 'correct' solo tab is in D, and Dime said most of the album was a whole step down, so it is listed in D. The record sits about 38 ¢ below D: a measurement cannot pick the semitone, so if it sounds a half step low, try C♯ Standard at A 431.

3. Yesterday Don't Mean Shit
Different pitch
D Standard A 428Measured
Notes
Measured about 46 ¢ flat (A ≈ 428), a little lower than the rest of the album.
In early 2000 Dime told Guitar World that most of the album was recorded a whole step down. TuneLit measured this song about 46 ¢ flat (A ≈ 428), lower than the album's A 431.

4. You've Got to Belong to It
Different tuning
E Standard A 431Measured
Notes
Songsterr's tab is in E Standard, which would make it the album's one song in Dime's flat E. Nothing else confirms it.
On its own, this song measures flatter: CD −47.2 ¢ (medium confidence). Tune uses the album's A 431.
-
5. Revolution Is My Name
D Standard A 431Measured
Notes
Dime's column shows the bent-note opening riff in whole-step-down tuning. An alternate tab in C♯ exists, but TuneLit measured the song about 38 ¢ flat, which sits closer to D.
-
6. Death Rattle
D Standard A 431Measured
Notes
On its own, this song measures sharper: CD −25.7 ¢ (medium confidence). Tune uses the album's A 431.
-
7. We'll Grind That Axe for a Long Time
D Standard A 431Measured
Notes
Explaining the breakdown's whole-step power-chord bends, Dime put the low strings at D and G and said his always-flat tuning, plus the whole step down, loosens the strings enough to help.
-
8. Uplift
Different pitch
D Standard A 434Measured
Notes
Measured about 24 ¢ flat (A ≈ 434), the least flat song on the album.
In early 2000 Dime told Guitar World that most of the album was recorded a whole step down. TuneLit measured Uplift only about 24 ¢ flat (A ≈ 434), the least flat song on the album.
-
9. It Makes Them Disappear
Different tuning
Drop C A 431Measured
Notes
Tabbed in Drop C (C G C F A D), Drop D lowered a whole step, which Guitar World says Dime sometimes used. It gives the lowest bottom string on the album.
-
10. I'll Cast a Shadow
Different tuning
Drop C A 431Measured
Notes
Tabbed in Drop C (C G C F A D), like It Makes Them Disappear.
