The breakthrough album, recorded at EMI Studios in Stockholm in 1988 (the credits also list Trident II in London). Jonas Isacsson played electric and acoustic guitars, Per Gessle guitar and Anders Herrlin bass, with Janne Oldaeus on slide. At concert pitch on both the CD and the LP; only Dangerous sits clearly sharp (about 11 cents). The original LP leaves out (I Could Never) Give You Up.

1. The Look
E StandardMeasured
Notes
The riff is Jonas Isacsson's: he had been playing it before the session, tried it in the solo bars, and Per Gessle moved it to the top of the song. In A, standard tuning, no capo; the CD is at concert pitch.

2. Dressed for Success
E StandardMeasured
Notes
In F. The most popular chord sheet puts a capo on the 3rd fret and plays D, G and A shapes; another plays F and B♭ barre chords. Both match the record.

6. Cry
E StandardMeasured
Notes
Isacsson said he imitated Delta blues slide on this song rather than playing it the traditional way. No source names a slide tuning; the chord sheet is in standard.

7. Chances
E StandardMeasured
Notes
In F minor. One chord sheet plays it with a capo on the 1st fret and E minor shapes, another writes the chords in F minor without a capo.
